Seasonal Cut Flowers

Our Seasonal Flower options will be available to book online by mid May.

We are very proud to champion locally grown, British flowers, which we have available for sale from early April when our Tulips start flowering, all the way through to the end of October.

All of our annual cut flowers are lovingly grown from seed here on our farm. Watching the seeds germinate, grow and flower, is the passion behind Chiltern Sky Flowers. We are inspired and guided by the seasons and grow our flowers to the best of our ability, without using harmful chemicals and pesticides. We only cut what we can sell and we pick all of our flowers to order. Please give us 24 hours notice if you can, to make sure we pick the freshest flowers on the farm.

If you have a specific request for a special celebration, please get in touch. Sometimes we will order in fresh flowers from other British growers to make sure you have everything you need, when you need it. We are small-scale but we pack a lot of flowers into our patch and regularly keep in touch with our local Flowers From The Farm Members for extra flowers.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR CUT FLOWERS

  • Pick your stems either first thing in the morning or last thing at night when their stems are fully turgid (filled with water). Avoid picking during warm and sunny conditions.

  • Always use a clean Vase with fresh luke warm water. Bacteria is the enemy of cut flowers.

  • Remove any of the foliage that is below the water line.

  • Cut your stems at a 45 degree angle to ensure better water take up.

  • Keep out of direct sunlight and other heat sources like radiators.

  • Keep your Vase of flowers away from ethylene sources, like over ripe fruit and petrol.

  • Change the water regularly, at least every other day.
