Come and create your own arrangement of gorgeous homegrown Dahlias and then learn how to style and photograph it just like a page from a magazine. Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned green fingered guru, join us for a magical morning of floral creativity to celebrate these bold, beautiful blooms and a host of other late Summer flowers.
We have collaborated with florist and magazine columnist Jane Scott who will guide you through designing and making a fabulous giant jar display. Jane will show you how to use Dahlias as the focal flowers combining them with our fabulous autumnal seasonal stems.
Our morning will start with a tour of the flower farm and an informal chat about how we choose, grow and look after our Dahlias. We will discuss florists’ favourite choices and discover why more and more people are choosing to buy locally grown flowers, especially dahlias when they are in season.
After tea/coffee and home made cake, Jane will demonstrate her own interpretation of a large jar display, discussing colour palettes and how to showcase individual blooms, all in our natural garden gathered style. After making your own jar display, we will then share our top tips for styling and guide you through photographing your stunning arrangement in a magazine ready setting.
Mindful of our impact on our environment the flowers are locally grown and the glassware is up-cycled. It will all be yours to take home and practice your techniques again and again.
